League Break

Amitesh Pal, the national league board secretary says the league season will resume based on the progress of Ba and Nadi in the 2014 Oceania Champions League which will be played at Churchill and Govind Park from 7-15 April, 2014. #He also confirms only the super premier division will go on break and not the premier division which will be played as scheduled. #“The Super Premier division will go on break after this weekend. Ba and Nadi are preparing for the Oceania Champions League and once that is completed then the league season will resume,” Pal said. #“One of the two or both Nadi and Ba could qualify for the semifinals and later a possible final which could head into May. Once they have completed their commitments then we would be able to give an exact date. In the meantime the premier division matches will still be played and we will be looking to complete it on time.” #Suva currently leads the National Football League standings with 18 points and is yet to play against Ba to complete their first round of matches. #Nadi moved to second place after a close 1-0 victory over Rewa last Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. #Two matches have been scheduled to be played this weekend. Navua hosts Labasa at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.#Rewa travels to Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka to face Nadroga. #Both matches kick off at 3pm. # Fiji FA MEDIA #
