Lautoka end winless run

Utlising the Fiji Football Association transfer and registration window, the recent signings of Lautoka that are Poasa Bainivalu, Zibraaz Sahib, Kavaia Rawaqa, Eran Underwood and Salesh Sami Bula worked hard to assist Lautoka to their first victory. #Captain Alvin Avinesh led by example as he scored both the goals. Lautoka was awarded a penalty in the first half and Avinesh was successful. Later he also nailed the winning goal in the second half. #Lautoka, Nadroga and Navua at the moment are the three bottom placed teams with three points each. #In the other super premier match last weekend a Jone Salauneune second half goal was enough for Nadi to seal a vital 1-0 victory over Rewa last Sunday. #Rewa dominated the match and missed several scoring opportunities. #Nadi coach Kamal Swamy admitted that Rewa was a quality outfit. # “The win was good but we have to improve our play. Rewa was the better team but they failed to use their chances otherwise the result could have gone against us,” Swamy told Sunsports. #Rewa coach Marika Rodu echoed similar sentiments. #“We gave the match away. We were the better side, but we failed to use our chances,” he said. #The Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League continues this weekend as two Super premier division matches have been scheduled. # Fiji Sun – Skipper Tuna National Football League 2014 #Fulltime: Navua 0 Lautoka 2#Navua Cautions: Sarevasio Doli (46’), Isikeli Naula (63’), Iliesa Lino (63’)#Lautoka Caution: Semesa Nakosia (40’), Eron Underwood (54’), Arvindra Naidu (58’)#Lautoka Goals: Alvin Avinesh (46’)(88’)#Fulltime: Rewa 0 Nadi 1#Rewa Caution: Iosefo Verevou (67’)#Nadi Cautions: Beniamino Mateinqara (28’), Amani Makoe (78’)#Nadi Goal: Jone Salauneune (88’)#Fiji Sun – Skipper Tuna National Football League 2014 # Super Premier Division# Sunday 16 March 2014#Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori#3.00pm Navua vs. Labasa# Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka#3.00pm Nadroga vs. Rewa #
