Some of Fiji football’s biggest rivalries are set to be renewed after the pool draws for the 2026 FMF Inter-District Championship were confirmed.
The tournament, which will feature the Super Premier, Premier and Senior divisions, will be played at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva from October 6-11.
In the Super Premier Division, Labasa FC, Rewa FC, Suva FC and Nasinu FC have been drawn together in Group A.
Group B features Ba FC, Lautoka FC, Navua FC and Nadi FC, setting the stage for several traditional rivalries during the pool competition.
The eight teams will battle for four semi-final spots, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the knockout stage.
The Premier Division will have added interest this year with the Kiribati National Team and Fiji U17 National Team making their first appearances at the IDC.
Kiribati has been drawn in Group A alongside Nadroga FC and Seaqaqa FC, while Group B consists of Tailevu Naitasiri FC, Tavua FC and Fiji U17.
The inclusion of Fiji U17 will also give the country’s young players valuable competitive exposure against senior teams as they continue their development.
The Senior Division will feature eight teams divided into two groups.
Lami FC, North Tailevu FC, Bua FC and Dreketi FC make up Group A, while Rakiraki FC, Savusavu FC, Nadogo FC and Taveuni FC have been placed in Group B.
With the pools now confirmed, attention will turn towards preparations as teams look to make their mark in one of the biggest tournaments on the Fiji football calendar.
The FMF IDC 2026 kicks off on October 6, with the finals scheduled for October 11 at the HFC Bank Stadium.
