Tavua will not be easy team to beat at the Fiji FACT

The Tavua Football side will not be an easy team to beat in the 2018 Vodafone Fiji FA Cup Tournament at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
It is after five years that Tavua is making a return to the Fiji FACT tournament by winning promotion to the Premier grade this season.
In the 2017 Courts IDC, the gold mining boys showed that they were real giant killers after they held top teams such as Lautoka and Nadi in the pool stages.
Just recently at the same venue in the Vodafone Premier League fixture, they showed their capabilities when they came from 2-0 behind against Suva to level the score 2-2 but a last minute penalty gave Suva a win.
Tavua has most of the home grown boys and if they keep their discipline and dedication they will be make hard for teams like Lautoka, Suva and Nadi which are in their pool.
There are no big names in their team but they have some very energetic, young and talented boys who can adopt well to top level competition.
Tavua will be one the crowd favorites at Ratu Cakobau Park and are expected to give their opponents a tough run for their money.
They will be working hard to show that they are not at the Vodafone Fiji FACT to make up numbers.
They need to prove they belong in the top flight and the 2018 Vodafone Fiji FACT is the stage they will need to step up and show they are not easy beats.
The Saroj Kumar coached side will have at least one big game in them and the team that underestimates them may find themselves on the wrong side of scoreboard.
In 1994, Tavua defeated Suva 1-0 to claim their first and only Fiji FACT win at Ratu Cakobau Park.
Can the feat be repeated once again at the same venue after 24 year?

He was the hero for the Tavua side when he scored the winning goal in their 1-0 upset win against Nadi in the Vodafone Premier League.
He also netted to goals against Ba in their 4-2 loss and an equaliser against Suva in the Vodafone Premier League.
Wearing the number 13 jumper, the unknown player will be the key in Tavua’s campaign in the Vodafone Fiji FACT.
Friday May 25th 1.30pm Tavua vs Nadi/ Saturday 26th May 12.30pm Tavua vs Suva/ Sunday 27th May 11am Tavua vs Lautoka.
