Tavua and Seaqaqa will battle for a spot in the Premier Division after the westerners topped the Viti Levu Zone and the Seaqaqa won the Vanua Levu Senior League.
Tavua topped the Viti Levu zone of the Vodafone Senior League after beating Northland Tailevu 2-0 in its deciding match last Sunday.
Tavua finished the competition with 24 points while Nadroga finished second with 23 points after their 1-0 win against Tailevu Naitasiri in their last match.
Nadroga managed to overcome Tailevu Naitasiri 1-0 but fell short by 1 point as Tavua also managed to secure a win.
Tavua coach Saroj Kumar was overjoyed after his team came out victors in the deciding match last Sunday.
“I am really proud of my boys because they have done what was expected from them. “Kumar said.
The Vodafone Fiji national under 19 women’s silver medalist coach said they were confident from the start of the competition.
“We have been preparing from last year and are confident of coming back to the Premier Division.”
He said the onus was on the players now.
Kumar said the team was on a very cautious approach because anything could happen so we are preparing for it.
Tavua will play Northern winners Seaqaqa on a home and away basis to determine the winner of the competition who will gain an automatic entry in the premier division in the new season which is the Courts Inter District Championship.
The first leg of the play off is expected to be played on the 18/19 August 2017 weekend and the second leg a week later.
