Suva continues winning streak

Suva futsal side continued its winning streak in the Vodafone Central Futsal League defeating Northland Tailevu 8-0 in their second match last Tuesday at Fiji FA Futsal Court in Vatuwaqa.
Deepal Singh scored a hat-trick with Krishneel Singh scoring two goals and Akitesh Kumar, Vineet Nadan,Suraj Chand scored a goal each.
Tailevu Naitasiri defeated Lami 2-1 in the first match last Tuesday.
Suva now sit on top of the points table with six points after playing two matches. Tailevu Naitsairi is on second spot with four points after playing two matches.
Rewa and Nasinu is yet to feature in the competition.
Fiji FA Futsal League coordinator Mira Sahib said they had yet to receive the full registration from Rewa and Nasinu.
“So far the competition is going very good but we are still waiting for Nasinu and Rewa to register their team,”Sahib said.
“We have completed two rounds of competition without Nasinu and Rewa but we look forward for their participation.
Sahib said Vodafone Central Futsal League was to develop skillful players and the districts should make use of it.
“Futsal is a game where players can develop their techniques and skills with the fast pace and small sided game.”
“Looking at the competition every week the teams are coming prepared as they have seen the competition level and it is interesting, “said Sahib.
Round 3 tomorrow will see at 6.30pm Tailevu Naitasiri playing Northland Tailevu, 7.30 pm Lami takes on Nasinu and at 8.30 pm Rewa will face Suva at FFA Futsal Court in Vatuwaqa.
