Senior League to begin next week

The 2018 Vodafone Senior League competition is expected to kick start next weekend.
Seven teams in the Viti Levu zone and five teams in the Vanua Levu zone will take part in the competition.
Fiji FA Competitions Manager Amitesh Pal says, they are expecting tough competition in the senior division this year.
“We have Rakiraki which were relegated last season. They will be hungry to retain their spot in the Premier division. However, they will have to come up against teams like Nadroga, Navua and Tailevu Naitasiri to win the Viti Levu Zone. We also have Bua in Vanua Levu who just missed out last season.”
Pal adds that they Senior League Board will host a meeting this weekend to finalize the fixtures.
“We have a meeting on Saturday in Suva where the fixtures will be finalized. We urge all districts to come with the issues they have so that it can be resolved in the meeting with all the districts.”
Tavua won last year’s Senior division competition and gained promotion while Rakiraki was relegated from the Premier division.
