Lautoka ready to defend title

Lautoka after winning the 2018 Vodafone Premier League title for second consecutive year will be out to defend its title in the southern soil.
While the Blues are drawn in a tough pool with Labasa, Ba and new comers Nasinu, they have the squad that could come out one of the best two teams from Group A with quality of players they have.
The Sugar City Boys is the most experience team after their participation in the OFC Champions League last year but they failed to fire during the Vodafone Fiji FACT and INKK Mobile BOG this year but they will come out prove that they are champions of football.
Laced with some top players, the experience of Kolinio Sivoki, Kavaia Rawaqa, Dave Radrigai, Zibraaz Saheb, Ilatia Tuilau,Osea Vakatalesau, Benaminio Mateiniqara and Solomon International Benjamin Totori will provide much needed inspiration for the Blues campaign.
The Kamal Swamy coached side have an excellent chance of making the top four and from there they will have to chance their luck. The tough competition in this group will help build up a solid combination, but conservation of energy and the luck factor in the end will tell the tale.
Lautoka is second on the winners chart of the IDC after winning the title 17 times and been runner-up nine times.
