Labasa Football team took its revenge from the first round of the Vodafone Premier League after they defeated Tavua 2-0 in their round two clash at Garvey Park on Sunday.
However, coach Ronil Lal says they need to improve on their finishing.
“We missed a lot of goal scoring opportunities and this is one area we have to work on,” Lal said.
He said it saluted the senior players for stepping up against a tough Tavua outfit in front of their home fans.
“Game was a tough one.
“It is never easy playing tavua at home.
“We took an early lead through Siotame Kubu and that made it a little easy for our boys to settle into the game.
“Also the senior players really stood out in the match.”
Lal gave break to the 16-year-old Labasa youth team player Melvin Mani.
“We also played Melvin Mani who setup the second goal for Taniela Waqa.”
Labasa has now moved to third position with 15 points on the Vodafone Premier League points table.
