Dayal’s Steel Ba FC president Praneel Dayal has dedicated the team’s outstanding 2026 season to the people of Ba and the district’s loyal supporters.
The Men in Black completed a remarkable domestic treble after winning the BiC Fiji FACT, the Extra Premier League and the Extra Battle of the Giants.
Ba’s successful league campaign also secured the side a place in next year’s OFC Men’s Champions League.
“This historic season is dedicated to the people of Ba and every supporter who continued to believe in our team,” Dayal said.
“The BiC Fiji FACT, Extra Premier League and Extra BOG titles belong to every person who proudly carries Ba in their heart.
“When we lost to Rewa in the 2025 Inter-District Championship final, seeing our faithful supporters leave the stadium heartbroken and in tears was a moment I will never forget.
“That night, I did some deep soul-searching and made a sacred promise to every Ba supporter. I vowed to do whatever it took, through every hardship and every difficult decision, to bring the glory days back to our proud district.
“With the guidance and blessings of the Almighty, and carried by the powerful prayers of thousands of supporters near and far, we stood firm. I made the bold calls, and we made the sacrifices. Today, that sacred promise has been fulfilled.
“In one incredible season, three major trophies now sit proudly in our cabinet. We lifted the BiC Fiji FACT in Labasa, conquered the Extra Premier League and sealed the Extra BOG title on our sacred home soil at 4R Stadium, Govind Park.
“We have also qualified for next year’s OFC Men’s Champions League, where we will proudly represent Ba and Fiji on the regional stage.
“This victory does not belong to the board, coaching staff or players alone. It belongs to the mother who prayed for the team, the father who brought his children to the stadium, the elderly supporters who never lost faith and every passionate fan who bleeds black.
“You gave us the strength to rise from the ashes. We proved to the entire nation that when we stand united, no power on earth can break us.
“We are stronger together, and together, we are unstoppable. Glory has returned home. We are Ba!”
