“I am planning to win Battle of the Giants for Nadi since today (Sunday) it is my first win for my Nadi team and it is a very proud moment for me in clinching the title for Nadi. Scoring two goals was not a easy one for me but my team mates were there to support me,” Matarerega said.#Matarerega who was only two years old when Nadi last tasted their first victory in 1996 at home rose up to the occasion to score the winning goal for the side after 17 years.#“The win is for the people of Nadi who supported us through out the tournament and they have waited long 17 years and finally the wait is over for us and the fans but now I will prepare myself thoroughly for the BOG and will try to win that as well for our fans,”#Rusi as commonly known was also part of the Fiji national under 20 side early this year where he finished as the top goal scorer for Fiji and he did the same in the first tournament of the year where he scored altogether five goals to get the highest goal scores award. #“It would have not been possible without the help of almighty and I thank god for giving me the strength and courage to give my best for Nadi.
