Hearty congratulations to the young Urupeni Senibulu for winning the new Nissan Navara which was part of our promotion during the Vodafone Fiji FACT last month. This is the spirit which we have in today’s generation, the enthusiasm to achieve something, and for this teenages it has been a dream come true as he was our lucky winner therefore I wish him all the very best in his ride in the new vehicle.
Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League
We are nearly on the competition of our National Football League season this year and few matches are left for the teams to play. There would be only one winner at the end of the day but what we are looking at is the development of football in the country. The winners of this year’s National Football League and the runner-up would be representing the country in the OFC Champions League which will be held in Fiji next year. The teams are urged to give their best in their remaining matches which they have on hand and display good football on the day to their fans.
Our FUTSAL referees Amitesh Behari and Janud Dean will be officiating at the Futsal Championship in Auckland, New Zealand from 23-27 of this month. We have decided not to send a team to this competition as we have not prepared for the competition thus the board has made a decision not to send a team to participate but I am glad that two of our referees will be officiating at the event which is an achievement for us and I wish them best of luck.
R C Manubhai/Apco Coatings International Veterans tournament will be played from 5-6 of this month at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. The teams are also coming from overseas to participate in the two day meet and the players will be doing their best to win the competition. The winners will get $4000 while the runner up will be getting $2000 and the two semifinalists will be getting $500 each.
