#Fiji lost 5-1 to New Caledonia in their third match of Pool A at J.S Blatter Sports Complex in Apia, Samoa.#After their nil-all draw with Papua New Guinea on Thursday, the U17s kicked off the game on a high, scoring the first goal of the match in the 12 minute with the boots of Simeli Batiratu.#Batiratu headed Fiji’s first goal after receiving a long free kick.#Fiji’s celebration was cut shot in the 29th minute when New Caledonian striker Joris Kenon dribbled past three defenders in the middle before shooting around goalkeeper Waisake Ravuiwasa.#Nelson Kai kicked in the New Caledonians’ second goal in the 42nd minute, before Joseph Jnagone headed in their third two minutes later.#New Caledonia led 3-1 at half-time. #Fiji had good chances in the second spell, but off-the-mark finishing and New Caledonia’s defensive line kept them at bay. #Marino Akapo put them up 4-1 in the 66th minute before an own goal by Fiji in the 82nd minute wrapped up proceedings at the JS Blatter Football Complex in Apia, Samoa. #Fiji lost to New Zealand 6-0 in their first match and drew nil-all to PNG in the second.#Fiji will now face Cook Islands on Monday and Samoa on Wednesday.#Avikash Chand#Fiji FA Media#
