Women adjust to 90 minutes

In the first match Lautoka women’s beat Ba 9-4 while in the second match Nadroga thumped Rakiraki 13-2. Earlier in the opening round Lautoka cruised with a comfortable 6-0 victory over Nadi womens. #Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) western based development Officer Jackie Chambers says the players were coping well under the new rules whereby all zonal women’s league matches will be 90 minutes.#“The girls are coping up well in a 90 minutes games and I believe as they play more games they will get better. At the moment they are getting use to it but what we have seen so far is some very competitive competition,” Chambers said.#The western based development officer who is based at the Dr. Sahu Khan National Football Academy in Ba says Tavua women’s side will also be joining the competition soon. #Fiji Football Technical Director Saiyad Ali says they have taken charge to help develop the womens code in the country. #“Fiji FA is paying all the travelling expenses and referees fees.
