Nadi favourite to hoist B.O.G title

Dubbed the Green Machine have booked a place in the OFC Champions League and are deemed favourites to lift the B.O.G title but however, they need to overcome the challenge of Suva, Lautoka and Tailevu/Naitasiri.#The Jetsetters were the first team to put their hand on the B.O.G trophy when it first started in 1978 beating Ba 1-0 in the final.#Currently the Nadi side is on top form with coach Kamal Swamy and former Ba coach Yogendra Dutt as their technical advisor.#Nadi featured in nine B.O.G finals and have won five times. The Kamal Swamy coach side last won the Battle of the Giants tournament in 1996 when they beat Tavua 3-1 at Govind Park in Ba.#Nadi will be out to win the B.O.G title after nine years with their president Navneeda Goundar who has proved to be a lucky charm for the side.#Squad: Vereti Dickson,defenders Ame Votaniu,Lekima Gonerau,William Valentine,Eliki Ravosai,Ilmotama Jese,Filipe Baravilala, forwards Munit Krishna,Shafim Buksh,Jolame Vukuvuki,Antonio Tuivuna,Vuniuci Tikomaimereke,Rahul Krishna and Sameula Drudru.#The Green Machine will play their first match against Suva on Friday at 3pm.#
