U16 teams for B.O.G

Fiji FA technical director Ravinesh Kumar said the main objective for this competition is to select the best players for the Southern Zone national U17 team.#“It will be interesting to see the players from the four Centres of Excellence established in the South competing against each other, “he said.#“Only the players from the centre will be eligible to play in this competition,” he added.#Kumar said the competition would also see the development from coaches who are working hard to train these players.#“This competition will also make us see how our coaches from the center are doing with the Fiji FA development programme.”#Kumar added that a team would be named from this competition and players would then have a chance to compete with teams from the West and North before the final national U17 team is selected to play in the OFC playoffs next year.#The four teams from Rewa, Nasinu, Suva and Navua will compete against each other during the pool stages of BOG.#The four Center of Excellence are at Sarawati Manoca Primary School for Rewa, Rishikul Sanatan College for Nasinu,Fiji FA #Headquarters for Suva and Vashist Muni Primary School for Navua.#U16 Fixtures#Sunday 02/08/15#9.00am Rewa U16 vs. Nasinu U16 10.15am Suva U16 vs. Navua U16#Meanwhile U14 players also from Fiji FA’s Development Centers will feature in the competitions.#Fiji FA Technical Director Ravinesh Kumar said two teams each from our south development centers will be coming in Nausori to show their skills.#“We will be having 8 teams from our districts where we have established the development centers, “he said.#“Rewa, Nasinu, Navua and Suva players from our development program will feature in a one day competitions.#Kumar urged parents to come out in numbers and support these players and send their kids to the development centers if they have interest in football.#The U14 competition will be held on Saturday 1st at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.#
