Suva 1-1 Nadi

Fiji U23 marksman Napolioni Qasevakatini scored a thunderous equaliser in the 65th minute to give some relief to the Capital City fans.#The two sides had a lot to display in the encounter with the Jetsetters enjoying more possession in the first half and Suva improving its performance after the break. #Nadi’s midfield with Shafim Buksh, Munit Krishna and William Valentine looked well settled and composed while strikers Antonio Tuivuna and Samuela Drudru used their speed and skills well to keep the Suva defence busy.#Tuivuna scored the first goal of the tournament after receiving a well connecting cross from Drudru late in the first half beating Suva goalkeeper Uliasi Tamanisau. #The Whites started the match without Nickel Chand and his absence saw Dave Radrigai and Sakaraia Naisua controlling Suva’s left side.#Nadi led 1-0 at the break but the introduction of Chand after in the second half changed things for the Capital City side as they went all attacking. #And Qasevakatini slammed the leveller from well outside the box- his volley rocketed into the roof of the net leaving goalkeeper Vereti Dickson completely stunned. #Both coaches made changes towards the later part of the game with the hope of getting the winner but tight defence complimented by good goalkeeping on both end kept the score-line intact till the final whistle. #Suva faces Tailevu Naitasiri in its match at 3pm tomorrow while Nadi will take on neighbours Lautoka at 5pm.#
