Pacific Games appointment for veteran ref

The 53-year-old who hails from Wainikoro, Labasa currently resides in Suva and describes his appointment as one of his proudest moments. #“I’m there to access the referees’ performance during the games and I’m proud to be selected for the Pacific Games together with our referees from Fiji”, said Nair. #“This is my fourth major tournament for OFC where I have been selected to be the referee assessor.” Nair talked about his experience being a part of a team of referee assessors in the Oceania League games. #“I was proud to be appointed as a referee assessor in the finals of the O-League games which was played between the Team Wellington and Auckland City.”#Nair and he is looking forward to the task ahead and is determined to do his country proud.#“I started from the Oceania Under-20 playoffs in Fiji and then I was appointed as the referee assessor for the Oceania League playoffs in the Apia. Then I was appointed to control games in the OFC League games played in Fiji and now I’m appointed as the referee assessor for the Pacific Games.’ #The other referees that are travelling with him to the Pacific Games are Ravitesh Bhihari from Suva, Phul Singh from Labasa and Ravinesh Kumar from Nadi. #Nair has advised referees to be at their level best on the field and fitness wise also. #“My advice to the Fijian referees is to please go through the laws of the game and all we say that fitness is important and they should train well to prepare for the upcoming tournaments”, said Nair#“I wish the referees all the best and I wish they will do wonders in the Pacific Games,” he added.#Fiji FA Media#
