U16 girls welcome new equipments

The training equipments were worth $10,000 and is part of Fiji FA’s development plans for women soccer, which comes under the Oceania Football Development plan.#Four schools competing are St Joseph Secondary, Nausori High School, Adi Cakobau School and Cathedral Secondary School.#During the launch and presentation ceremony at St Joseph Secondary School hall, the girls U16 team manager Tarai Tamata said the school is really grateful for the FIFA contribution to the development of girls’ soccer in the schools.#“This is the really a boost for the schools and we are really grateful to Fiji Football and FIFA for the contribution,” she said.#Tamata said the equipments provided would encourage girls to take part in the sport.#“With children if they receive any new things it will boost their performance and it encourages them to play more and more as curiosity will be built towards soccer,” she added.#St Joseph will play ACS while Nausori High School take on Cathedral Secondary School. #Each school received:#- Set of 20 balls#- Shinpads#- Bibs#- Set of uniforms- jerseys, shorts and socks#- 20 pairs of Adidas boots#- Ball bag#The other four Schools which received the FIFA equipments are AD Patel College, Ba Sanatan College, Kamil Muslim College and Xavier College.#Fiji FA Media#
