Just Play Festival a hit, says manager

Fiji FA Just Play manager Lavenia Yalovi said the festival was a successful as it attracted 156 children on first day and over a hundred kids on the last day.#“It was amazing to see the interest from young kids during the two-day festival, “she said.#Yalovi said the Just Play programme was a partnership between UNICEF and Fiji FA.#“The festival was sponsored by UNICEF with a theme Hand Washing and Wellness Camp.#Yalovi added that the programme included with:# #Just Play Sessions 6: “Water is Good’, Mini matches# Just Play Emergency Session 7: “Drinking Clean Water” –Boil to at least 50secs to kill germs#Session 9: “Always Wash Your Hands”, “Make Healthy Food Choices,” Water and Health Snack Stations” and many more.#“The children also had the opportunity to meet and listen to two guests namely Tracey Noonan and Coby Jones, “said Yalovi.#The newly appointed manager said there are more events planned for the Just Play programme around the country.#“Fiji Football Association’s Just Play Programme will conduct course in Suva on September 15-16 and followed by Tailevu /Rewa combine on September 17-18 plus a Beach soccer festival on September 19th in Kiuva, Tailevu.”#Yalovi said the Just Play programme will also have a festival in Tavua for Tavua Just Play schools on September 12 and a festival in Ba on September 27.#A big vinaka vakalevu to Fiji Football Association as a whole for continuously supporting Just Play Programme, which helps to improve the lives of our children in our communities. #“We wish to acknowledge others who helped us in one way or another as well, “she added.#
