Presidents Corner

Greetings to you all#Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League#Ba has suffered their first loss in the OFC Champions League going down to Auckland City 6-1 last Sunday. #It is part of football sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Some decisions by the referee and his assistant with fourth were very questionable. At times there were certain fouls by the opposition which went unseen. #This is a matter which I will definitely take it up with OFC.#Ba has another chance to qualify for the final if the go on to beat Auckland City at home this Saturday by five clear goals. This would be a tough task but not an impossible one. #I believe Ba can do it. #Ba is representing the whole nation and we should rally behind the side to do us proud and support them in whatever way we can to see football grow in the country. #We need to be a good host when we play Auckland City here at home and I urge the fans to come out and show their support to the Ba side. On behalf of the Fiji Football family I would wish the Ba side all the best for the second leg of the semifinal. #2013 Vodafone Fiji FACT#The pool draws for the Vodafone Fiji FACT will be held this Friday at the Vodafone Headquarters in Tamavua. This year the football patrons will witness 90 minutes of matches with the eight best teams in action. #A meeting was held last week and all the plans and logistics were discussed as far as the first tournament of the year in concerned. We are very thankful to the sponsor Vodafone for coming on board once again.# We are very happy to be associated with Vodafone. #Congratulations#Our very own Roy Krishna has made the country proud scoring two of the crucial goals for his Waitakere United in the 1st leg of the OFC Champions League semifinal against Amicale FC. He has done a marvelous job for his club. We are proud to have players like him in the country and he is surely a source of inspirational to the young footballers in the country. #
