Women’s Senior League To Continue

The Vodafone Women’s Senior League for the 2017 season will continue this weekend in the Southern and Western divisions.
Fiji Football Association Competitions Manager Amitesh Pal said they would resume the competition early to finish off with the remaining matches.

“We want to finish all the pending matches before the final play offs next month and I have advised all the teams to be prepared, “Pal said.

He said there were four matches in the Southern and five matches in the Western division to be played.

“We would like to finish all the matches in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. The northern division is yet to finish five rounds of matches,”Pal said.

Pal said the final play off will be held from 16 – 18 February 2018 at Fiji FA Academy in Suva.

Meanwhile, Tailevu Naitasiri is currently leading the Southern Zone with 24 points after playing 9 matches while Rewa is on second position with 22 points after 9 matches. In the western division, Ba is on top of the table with 24 points after 8 matches while Tavua is on second position with 7 points after six matches.

In the Northern Division Dreketi sit on top of the points table with 3 points after playing one match.
