VPL round two starts this weekend

The Vodafone Premiere League will resume this week, after the last game of the first round was played on Sunday.

Ba which leads the VPL points table with 19 points undefeated will face the Giant Killers Nasinu side who are on fourth position.

The Ba vs Nasinu match will be hosted by Ba this Sunday at Fiji FA Academy Ground in Ba at 3pm.

In the other match on Sunday will see Suva take on Tavua at Ratu Cakobau Park at 3pm. The Capital City side is on fifth position on the points table while Tavua sits on 6th position.

Labasa who are on third position will host bottom placed Rewa at a venue also to be confirmed.

On Friday June 14 Nadi who are placed 7th on the points table will face second placed Lautoka side at 7pm Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal says the second round would start as scheduled.

“There was a month’s break and the districts knew the second round will commence after the completion of the first round which was done on Sunday,”

Pal said this were the approved fixtures while the next round of fixtures would be decided during the council meeting this month.
