Tirau Dedicates Ba’s Fiji FACT Triumph to Dayal, Fans and Families

Roylux Realty Ba FC striker Penisoni Tirau has dedicated the club’s historic BiC Fiji FACT 2026 title to association president Praneel Dayal, saying the championship was a reward for the leader’s resilience and unwavering commitment to restoring Ba’s football glory.
Ba defeated IRA Group Navua FC 3-1 in a penalty shootout after a scoreless 120 minutes at Subrail Park in Labasa to end a 16-year wait for the prestigious Fiji FACT title.
Speaking after the victory, Tirau said the triumph belonged to everyone associated with the Men in Black, especially Dayal, who remained committed despite facing criticism during the rebuilding process.
“I want to dedicate this victory to our president, Praneel Dayal, and his family. He has faced a lot of criticism over the years, but he never gave up. He kept working hard to bring the glory back to Ba, and today we have achieved that together,” Tirau said.
Tirau also highlighted another significant milestone, saying the victory was historic as Ba lifted a major title at Subrail Park for the first time in 51 years.
“This is another piece of history for Ba. We have won a major title at Subrail Park after 51 years, and that makes this achievement even more special for everyone connected with our district,” he said.
Tirau paid tribute to the loyal Ba supporters who stood by the team throughout its journey.
“This title is for our loyal fans. They have supported us through the good times and the difficult times. Their belief in us has never faded, and we are grateful to celebrate this special moment with them.”
Tirau also acknowledged the contribution of everyone behind the scenes, including the players, executives and the families who sacrificed throughout the campaign.
“I dedicate this win to every player, our executives and the families of our players. Their sacrifices, encouragement and support have helped us reach this moment. This trophy belongs to the entire Ba family.”
The BiC Fiji FACT title capped a memorable campaign for Roylux Realty Ba FC and marked the club’s first Fiji FACT championship since 2010, while also ending a 51-year wait to celebrate a major tournament victory at Subrail Park in Labasa.
