Fiji Football Association Vice President Ritesh Pratap has hailed the successful staging of the BiC Fiji FACT 2026, praising everyone involved after Roylux Realty Ba FC ended a 16-year wait to lift one of Fiji football’s most prestigious trophies at Subrail Park in Labasa.
Speaking during the closing ceremony, Pratap congratulated the champions and runners-up while acknowledging the collective effort that made the three-day tournament another memorable success.
“On behalf of our President Rajesh Patel, I would first like to congratulate our champions, Roylux Realty Ba FC. You worked hard, showed great teamwork and truly deserved this victory. Enjoy this special moment and celebrate your success,” Pratap said.
“Congratulations also to IRA Group Navua FC. You played with great determination and gave us a wonderful final. You can all be proud of your efforts. Keep believing, keep working hard and your time will come.”
Pratap thanked the Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Honourable Mosese Bulitavu, for officially opening the tournament and acknowledged the continued support of title sponsor BiC Fiji, Janty Kanvan Pte Ltd, and all corporate partners.
“Tournaments of this standard are only possible through the support of our sponsors and partners. We sincerely thank BiC Fiji, Janty Kanvan and every organisation that continues to invest in the development of football in Fiji.”
He also paid tribute to the players, coaches, team officials, referees, match commissioners and volunteers for maintaining high standards of professionalism and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Pratap acknowledged the support of the Labasa Town Council for helping Fiji FA successfully host the tournament at Subrail Park and thanked the Fiji Police Force, Smart & Efficient Security Services, and the tournament’s medical team for ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone throughout the event.
“Our sincere appreciation also goes to our Fiji FA staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Their commitment and teamwork ensured the tournament was professionally organised from the opening whistle to the final presentation.”
He also recognised www.ticketmate.com.fj for providing the tournament’s online ticketing platform, making it easier for supporters to purchase tickets.
Pratap extended special thanks to the media, including Fiji Live, The Fiji Times, Fiji Sun, Mai TV, Communications Fiji Limited, Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, Mirchi FM, Radio Fiji Two, and the Fiji FA Media Team.
“Mai TV brought the action live to football fans across Fiji and around the world, while FBC kept supporters informed through its talkback programmes and extensive coverage. Our Fiji FA Media team also did an outstanding job capturing every story, interview, photograph and highlight throughout the tournament.”
He reserved his final message for the thousands of football supporters who packed Subrail Park over the weekend.
“To our wonderful football fans, thank you for filling Subrail Park throughout the tournament. Your passion, colour and unwavering support created an incredible atmosphere and made the BiC Fiji FACT 2026 truly special. Fiji football is stronger because of you.”
Pratap said Fiji FA was proud to deliver another successful edition of the country’s premier knockout tournament and thanked everyone who contributed to making the BiC Fiji FACT 2026 a memorable celebration of football.
