Teams Geared Up For Fiji FACT Semifinals

Fireworks are expected to explode at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori this Saturday when the 2017 Vodafone Fiji FACT semi-finals will played.

The four top contenders for this year’s title have all prepared well.

Host Rewa have been boosted with the return of six of their players from the national camp for their campaign against Labasa in the first semi-final.

Goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau, defenders Vuniuci Tikomaimereke, Samuela Kautoga and Amani Makoe while midfielders Iosefo Verevou and Epeli Saukuru have joined the Delta Tigers camp.

Unfortunately Rewa will miss the services of Saukuru due to double bookings during the group stages of the tournament but midfielder Mitieli Namuka is likely to replace Saukuru after missing the group stages.

Labasa on the other hand will rely on much improved midfielder Christopher Wasasala who was instrumental in the Vodafone Fiji national team.

The side is injury free and have been doing two session training under the guidance of coach Roneel Lal.

Rewa and Labasa will have crowd backing as they will take the field at 2pm.

Defending champions Nadi have been doing one session daily and are all geared to face much fancied Suva side.

The pressure is on the Jetsetters as the defending champions but they have done their homework well to face the Capital City side.

They are training well under former players Babs Khan and Ratu Viliame Toma.

Suva will enter the field as favorites after their fine performance during the pool stages and will rely more on the exposure of their goalkeeper Tevita Koroi.

Koroi have received more exposure and experience playing for the Vodafone Fiji national side against New Caledonia and the side will also see the return of veteran midfielder Pita Rabo.

The Suva vs Nadi match will kick off at 4pm.
