Savusavu aim IDC

The Savusavu Football side had moved their focus into the 2018 Court Inter District Championship to be held in October.
This after the side has less chance in making to the Premier Division after losing 5-2 against Lami and drew 2-2 against Nasinu in the Vodafone Senior League play-off in the weekend.
Association president Tony Kabakoro said they were not down hearted after bowing out of the play-offs.
“We are not down hearted as we have the IDC to look forward to know and I think we are in the building process now, “said Kabakoro.
He said they had a good learning experience in the play-offs.
“I think we have learnt a lot in our three matches as we could see after going down 2-5 against Lami our players did their best to hold Nasinu,”
“We did some changes in our playing formation and used some players at different position where they really played well,”
“We gave opportunity to three youth players and they proved a lot with some of our experience players,”Kabakoro
The former team coach said they had one match to play against Lami at home in the play-off which they would not take lightly.
“We will meet Lami again and for sure our boys are looking forward for the return leg after we played against them most of the game with 10-men and lost 2-5.
Meanwhile Nasinu will need to draw or win against Lami in the return leg to book a spot in the Premier Division while a win to Lami in both matches will see them in the top level next season.
