Fiji Football Association competitions manager Amitesh Pal leaves our shores today to be a match coordinator during the FIFA under 17 World Cup in India.
Pal said it was a huge achievement for him and as well as Fiji Football.
‘It is a huge achievement for me and Fiji FA as well as I have been appointed to be part of the FIFA sanctioned tournament, “Pal said.
Pal who has been running all the Fiji FA competitions said he never thought he would be given a chance to be part of the FIFA World Cup.
“I never thought I will get a chance to be part of a FIFA World Cup and I am so happy that I have been chosen one from Fiji,”
Pal said he was so excited to visit India and be part of the FIFA under 17 World Cup.
“It was a dream to visit India but getting an advantage from FIFA is blessing to me.”
Pal believes his appointment will be worth for Fiji Football.
“I know it will be challenging but it will be a great experience for me as I will be learning a lot and bringing back to Fiji Football, “Pal said.
Meanwhile Fiji FA IT Manager Rohitesh Narayan will be acting as competition manager in absence of Pal.
