Raqib Motor Spares Dreketi coach Jitendra Nand praised his boy’s performance despite not winning any match at the 2018 INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament last weekend.
“Hats off to my players for giving their hundred percent in all the matches,”Nand said.
Nand said he could only do what he could put up in last few weeks.
“I took charge of the team a few weeks ago but I am impressed with the boys overall performance especially against Rewa where we scored two goal with ten players,” Nand said.
He said he had taken the challenge and would prepare well for the remaining Vodafone Premier League.
“I have learnt a lot from my first tournament and now I will focus on the team’s fitness which is lacking for the VPL,”
Nand confirmed that he would not step down but would try to make a competitive team.
“I am not going to step down but will try to work on all the weaknesses we have and will come out more prepared in our matches.
He said their main weakness was fitness.
The Raqib Motor Spares Dreketi side loss 4 nil to Jacks Nadi and were thrashed 6-0 by Professional Valuation Suva side and lost 3-2 against NZOTC Rewa.
