League to Finish Early

The first round of matches in the Vodafone Premier League is scheduled to round off before the Vodafone Fiji FACT at the end of April.
This was revealed by Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf during the launch of the 2018 Vodafone Premier League on Tuesday at Fiji FA Headquarters in Vatuwaqa.

“The second round is definitely scheduled to finish before the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament in late July,”Yusuf said.
Yusuf said they would finish off the league on time to give time for other activities.

“We want to finish the league early and give time for other competitions like National Club Championship.”

Yusuf said as our new season starts during Court Inter District Championship and they wanted all competitions for this season to finish.
“Our new season starts from Courts IDC and we want to start fresh the new season.”

Yusuf said Vodafone Premier League was the flagship tournament for Fiji Football Association.

‘Real champions come out of this whole year competition and that’s why the winners and the runner-up gets automatically participation to the OFC Champions League,” Yusuf said.

Yusuf said fans could expect some exciting matches this Sunday when the Vodafone Premier League kick starts.

“Three exciting matches will be played this Sunday where neighbor’s Rewa will host Suva at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori, defending champions Lautoka will battle Tavua while the feature match of the weekend will be Ba vs Nadi.”All matches will start at 3pm,”Yusuf said.
