The Fiji Football Just Play Programme moved its programme in Nasinu last week.
Fiji FA Just Play manager Lavenia Yalovi says Nasinu will be the eight districts to join the Just Play Programme to date.
“A total of 19 teachers and 3 volunteers from 10 schools and communities around Nasinu attended the two day Just Play Programme at Rishikul Primary school last week, “she said.
Yalovi said the participants who were mostly the teachers praised the initiative of Fiji FA and Just play in introducing the programe in their district.
“The Just Play programe taught the participants to promote healthy lifestyle in the children.
“All the participants were confident to promote healthy lifestyle (healthy eating and regular physical activity), encourage social inclusion, encourage gender participation and interaction (including adapting the rules) and set the right conditions for children to have a first positive experience in physical activity with just play,”Yalovi said.
Yaovi said OFC/Fiji FA Just Play Programme was a Sport for Development Programme that uses football to deliver social messages to children in schools and communities.
