The battle lines have been drawn for the 2026 FMF Inter-District Championship, with a packed opening day scheduled across three venues in Suva on Tuesday, October 6.
Competition in the Super Premier, Premier and Senior divisions will be played at the HFC Bank Stadium, Buckhurst Park and Fiji FA Academy Ground as districts from around the country begin their push for IDC glory.
The Premier Division will get the tournament underway at the HFC Bank Stadium, with Seaqaqa facing Kiribati at 11am.
Attention will then turn to the Super Premier Division, where Navua meets Nadi at 1.30pm, followed by Nasinu against Rewa at 3.30pm and the traditional western battle between Ba and Lautoka at 5.30pm.
The official opening is scheduled for 7.30pm before Labasa and Suva close the opening night’s action at 8pm.
Premier Division action will also be played at Buckhurst Park, where Tailevu Naitasiri takes on Tavua at 11am.
The Senior Division will have four matches on the opening day. Taveuni faces Savusavu at 1pm and Northland Tailevu meets Bua at 3pm at Buckhurst Park.
At the Fiji FA Academy Ground, Rakiraki takes on Nadogo at 11am, while Dreketi faces Lami at 1pm.
Pool matches continue on Wednesday and Thursday before Friday, October 9, is observed as a break from match action.
While there will be no IDC matches on Friday, football activities will continue with a coaches’ workshop and strategic planning session during the day.
The focus will then shift to the Extra Premier League Awards Night in the evening, where the achievements of the 2026 league season will be recognised.
Knockout football returns on Fiji Day, Saturday, October 10, with the semi-finals across the divisions.
Adding a touch of nostalgia to the programme, Suva Legends will face Rewa Legends at 1.30pm at the HFC Bank Stadium for the Late George Koi Cup.
The legends clash will serve as the curtain-raiser to the Super Premier semi-finals, scheduled for 2.30pm and 5pm.
The championship concludes on Sunday, October 11, with the Senior Division final at 9.30am, Premier Division final at midday and the Super Premier Division final at 3pm.
