The Fiji Football Association’s 2026 Mid-Season Transfer Window officially opens on June 1 and will run until June 15, allowing clubs across the country to strengthen their squads ahead of the second half of the football season.
Fiji FA Players Registration and Transfer Manager Rohitesh Narayan says clubs and players are encouraged to begin their transfer processes early to avoid delays and ensure all documentation requirements are met before the deadline.
“We are urging all clubs and stakeholders to complete their applications well before the closing date to allow sufficient time for processing, especially for International Transfer Certificate applications,” Narayan said.
“Transparency, professionalism, and compliance with transfer regulations are extremely important during this period, and we expect all member associations and clubs to follow the guidelines accordingly.”
Under the transfer regulations, players who completed transfers during the January 2026 Pre-Season Transfer Window will not be eligible to transfer again during the mid-season period.
In addition, Fijian passport holders who were part of professional leagues overseas will not be permitted to seek transfers during this window.
Narayan also outlined regulations regarding foreign player registrations.
Clubs intending to register new foreign players must first request the termination of the outgoing foreign player’s registration through the Competitions Department before any new player can be registered.
Foreign players whose contracts are terminated during the Mid-Season Transfer Window will also not be allowed to join another club during the same transfer period.
Narayan emphasized the importance of submitting International Transfer Certificate requests together with:
A clear copy of the player’s passport; and
A signed consent letter from the player.
He also warned clubs against last-minute submissions.
“Applications submitted on the final day may face processing delays, and Fiji FA may not be able to complete ITC approvals before the transfer window closes,” he added.
Players with existing contracts must obtain district approval before applying for transfers, while any breach of transfer regulations could result in disciplinary action before the Player Status Committee.
