Champion in tough pool

Defending Vodafone Fiji Secondary School’s Football champion Baulevu High School is drawn in a tough pool in this year’s tournament.
The Nausori based school will face Sigatoka Andhra School, Labasa’s Batnikama Secondary School, Lautoka’s Tilak High School and Ba’s Kamil College in Group D.
Group A will see Suva’s DAV College, Lautoka’s Central College, Tavua’s Tavua College, Labasa’s Bulileka College and Navua’s Vashist Muni College.
In group B Labasa College will face favorites Xavier College,Nadi Muslim College, Cuvu College and Penang College of Rakiraki.
Group C consists of Nasinu’s Ahmadhiya Secondary School, Tailevu North College, Bhawani Dayal Arya College and Jai Narayan College.
Fiji Secondary Schools Football Association president Aminesh Ram said this year’s competition would be very tough.
“We expect a very tough competition in this year’s tournament as all schools are preparing well, “said Ram.
He said they expected more constructive and possession based football during the four days competition.
The Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Championship will be played from 12-15th August at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
