Blues celebrate win

The Lautoka Football Association held the Hari Lal Investment-sponsored thanksgiving ceremony last Saturday in appreciation to the back to back Courts IDC and Vodafone Premier League wins.
Due to unfavourable weather conditions in the western division, the float procession could not take place as planned.
However, this did not dampen the spirit as players, officials and fans turned out to be part of the function.
President Abdul Kadar thanked Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel and soccer commentator Raymond Stoddard for accepting the invitation.
Kadar said they needed to give credit where due.
“According to what we were supposed to do, it didn’t turn up.
“This celebration is for the IDC and national league back to back wins.
“It is our duty to thank you players for delivering your best this year. We needed to host this function now before we could go back to business and prepare for the upcoming Pacific Cup and champion vs champion series,” Kadar said.
He said a family function would be held on December 8.
“We will have function for Lautoka players and families reunion where we will try to organize a march.
“But our focus now shifts to the two upcoming competitions.”
The players and officials received shared prizemoney and a hamper pack.
