Be confident: Patel tells U16

Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel has urged the Vodafone Fiji U16 Football team to have confidence within themselves as they depart our shores for OFC U16 Championship in Solomon Islands.
While addressing the players, officials and parents, Patel said the players should believe in themselves for the sacrifice they had been doing for the past seventeen weeks in camp.
“Within yourselves, you should have that confidence that yes, we can do it.
“You have sacrificed for your Vanua, your parents, districts and finally you will sacrifice for your nation to win this Oceania qualifiers,” Patel said.
He thanked the parents for allowing their children for national duties.
“To the parents, I thank you all for the sacrifice and letting your children be part of this team.
“I am very much sure that they were looked after well by our staff.”
Two spots from Oceania are at stake for the FIFA U17 World Cup.
He said it is something that is achievable.
“The onus is on you boys now to go and prove yourself that you are the best.
“The coaches have spent a lot of time on you, the four months of sacrifice from your family and now it is the time to deliver.”
