Nasinu take lead with 2-1 win

Once dubbed as the giant killers of Fiji soccer, Nasinu are now closer to regaining their spot in the Rewa Galaxy Premier League. #Navua went on attack from the first whistle and the early pressure paid dividend in the 16th minute when Navua striker Iskeli Naula scored the opening goal from a powerful drive from outside the penalty box.#Both teams had equal chances in the game but in the 33rd minute Sai Sami of Nasinu equalised after a blunder by the Navua defence.#Navua defender Nasir Hussein’s back header to goalkeeper Sitiveni Qarua connected onto Sami’s head who gracefully headed the ball to the back of the net. Both teams were tied 1-1 at halftime.#A pep talk from Nasinu coach Richard Lal in the second half saw Nasinu dominate play but it was excellent goalkeeping from Qarua that stopped them from scoring. #A lapse of concentration by Navua defenders in the last quarter allowed Nasinu to slam in the winning goal through the boots of striker Suraj Deo. #Nasinu now sit on 9 points after playing 3 matches while Navua still have 6 points.#Avikash Chand#Fiji FA Media#
