Transfer window Opens

Bob Kumar, the Fiji FA chief executive officer says players wishing to seek transfer from one district association or club to another must do so during this period. #“Applications should be made to the club/ district associations and same must be registered with Fiji FA with an application fee of $25. It would be the player’s advantage if their applications are endorsed by the club/district association confirming application,” Kumar said. #“We request that all applications be processed without delay and if any request cannot be processed for whatever reasons, this must be communicated to the player in writing with a copy to Fiji FA within 7 days –failure to do so may compel Fiji FA to issue the release in which case the district/club will not qualify for fees which will be retained by Fiji FA,” he added. #The Fiji FA CEO further stated that at times club officials are not available to sanction club transfers and causing an undue delay and inconvenience to the player. #“In such cases it becomes the responsibility of the district association to liaise with the club and if the clubs still do not respond, the district association may approve. In view of the time limit, we request that all requests be processed immediately.” #However Kumar says players seeking transfer in this window will not be eligible to feature in the current Fiji Sun /Skipper Tuna National Football League season but the 2015 one. #“Due to the prolonged National League, players seeking transfer will not be eligible to play for their new district as part of the current National League. It is expected that the National League will be completed by 21/9/2014, therefore all transfers approved in the current window will be effective from 22/9/2014,” Kumar said. #The Fiji FA CEO concluded in saying that all district/clubs seeking to register new players may do so and transfer process will be completed on submissions of duly signed transfer certificate along with player licence forms with birth certificates, photos and necessary fees. # Fiji FA MEDIA #
