Equipment for girl’s schools

This is for the development of girl’s football.#The schools AD Patel College, Ba Sanatan College, Kamil Muslim College received the equipment’s last Thursday while Xavier College received theirs on Monday.#Fiji FA national academy manager R K Sharma said that Fiji FA understood that women football is not just about sporting activity but also about building up the role of women in the society as a whole.#“We have several programs like the grassroots, festival for girls, development centres, centre of excellence in which boys and girls whose age up to 8 years were introduced to the basics of football.#“The talented ones can progress to elite squad under trained coaches. The women league at schools and district levels allow players more contact with football and game time.#“We hope the FIFA equipment would be wisely used and I thank the school for introducing football to girls.”#Each school received:#- Set of 20 balls#- Shinpads#- Bibs#- Set of uniforms- jerseys, shorts and socks#- 20 pairs of Adidas boots#- Ball bag#- #All the schools were very appreciative towards Fiji FA for selecting them. #Four schools in the Southern Zone also received their equipment for the U16 girls. #The schools are St Joseph Secondary School, Cathedral Secondary, Nausori High School and Adi Cakobau School.# #
