Vodafone Fiji U20#The Vodafone Fiji Under-20 fitness test has been completed and I have received some positive comments from the team management. This goes to show that the players are taking a serious approach towards the 2015 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand and are eager to regain their position in the national side.#The squad will be at the Fiji Football Association headquarters in Suva this weekend for a short camp to work on the next phase of preparations.#North Tour#Fiji FA delegation visited Savusavu during the final round of the Fiji Sun /Skipper Tuna Vanua Levu zone premier league last weekend.#I was accompanied by vice presidents Taranesh Reddy, Yogeshwar Singh and league board secretary Amitesh Pal. We met with the Northern officials and discussed the plans we had.#I also announced that FIFA Goal project 4 is heading for the Northern division. The project will see a football academy built in Vanua Levu.#On this note I would also like to congratulate Savusavu who successfully won the Northern zone playoffs and will feature in a home and away series against Tailevu Naitasiri to determine the 2014 premier champions.#Savusavu was promoted to the Super Premier division a few seasons ago and it will be interesting to see if they are able to repeat that.#Development Centers #Giovani Fernandez will be in Fiji for 2 weeks to establish Development centers in South and west and then move to North with our Technical dept Officers Ravinesh Kumar and Saiyad ali.#This will help the development of U10 to U16 for boys and Girls and more details will be given by Technical Dept.#Fiji Football News #This week’s Fiji Football News is indeed a special one for Fiji Football Association as we mark the 200th issue.#This publication was only made possible through the support from Fiji Sun newspaper and I would whole heartedly like to thank the Fiji Sun management, especially publisher/chief executive officer Peter Lomas.#This is an achievement for Fiji FA and we would like to maintain this relationship with Fiji Sun to see this publication continue.#
