Patel unveils preparation grant package

Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel revealed this at the Rewa Galaxy Premier and Senior League presentation night at Fiji FA Headquarters in Vatuwaqa, Suva last Saturday.#Patel said the eight Premier districts will receive $5000 each while the 13 senior districts will get $2500 each as preparation grant.#“This has been done to ensure that every team gets financial aid to help them prepare well and raise the standard of competition in the country,” he said.#“Teams will receive half the amount allocated after the first round and the rest will be handed out after the second round.“#Patel added that Fiji FA through the years faced challenges to finish the league on time but under good leadership it has now happened.#“Sometimes districts don’t like it but we can see the benefits of it now in the 2015 Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants when teams are performing as expected as they were given enough time for preparation.#“The competition at the Battle of the Giants as we all could see is really competitive and is what we are trying to do to give districts enough time to prepare for tournaments.”#Patel congratulated Nadi for winning the Rewa Galaxy Premier League and Dreketi for being crowned the senior champions and booking a spot in the Premier Division from next season.#
