Suva,Nadi recieve $50,000

Nadi and Suva receive $50,000 each as part of Fiji FA and Vodafone consortium sponsporship.
Vodafone Fiji’s acting chief marketing officer Avichal Prasad said Vodafone is proud sponsors of Football in the country and together, with Fiji Football Association, we have driven all our efforts to support the growth of the sport.
“Today, we add in the celebrations for the sport as both the triumph teams Suva and Nadi stand in representing our nation at the OFC Champions League, “said Prasad.
Prasad said Suva and Nadi are the best above the rest and this hand-over of $100,000 between the two teams ensures our solid support for the teams whilst building up to the Champions League. As part of our continued efforts to raise the profile of football in the local grounds and offer our talents the opportunity to show their skills in the international arenas.
“Tournaments such as the Vodafone Fiji FACT and Vodafone Premier League provides the platform for Soccer development. Vodafone, through the various promotions in conjunction with Fiji FA continues to contribute more funds for the development of football on a wider scale.
Prasad wished Suva and Nadi all the best outing in the OFC Champions League.
“I on behalf of Vodafone Fiji management and staff, we anticipate a successful year for football as we wish both Suva and Nadi a successful outing in claiming the title and qualifying for the FIFA Club World Cup to create another historical moment in Fiji soccer.”
Fiji FA Vice president Yogeshwar Singh there has been lot of question raised what Fiji FA is giving to Suva and Nadi and I must emphasize here that this $100,000 giveaway is part of Fiji Football and Vodafone deal.
“We are giving this sponsorship as part of our consortium sponsorship and we are giving $50,000 each to Suva and Nadi, “said Singh.
Singh had put a challenge to Suva and Nadi to qualify for the semi-final.
“It is a challenge to both teams to make it to the semi-final to make two teams qualify from Fiji to OFC Champions League next year, “said Singh.
