The Babasiga Lions playing in front of their home crowd after their Vodafone Fiji FACT victory tried what they could to please their fans but some daring saves by Suva goalkeeper Uliasi Tamanisau denied the Bal Sanju Reddy coached side the much needed 3 points.#Both teams had equal chances to score but Labasa goalkeeper Akuila Mataisuva and Suva goalkeeper Uliasi Tamanisau both made numerous daring saves between the sticks to keep a clean sheet against them.#The Bal Sanju Reddy coached side played more attacking football while Suva who played more defensively looked good with their counter-attacking moves.#Suva coach/player Pita Rabo said he was happy with the performance of his boys.#“I put my hat off for the boys they played really well and according to the game plan.#“To play a team like Labasa infront of their home crowd is very tough but Iam happy we are taking a point from here.#Rabo praised his goalkeeper for playing very well in the match.#“I think I made a right choice by putting Uliasi in goal today and he saved our day.#Labasa coach Bal Sanju Reddy despite a draw said his boys played well.#“We were aiming for the win but I think my boys were still in party mood but they really did well and hats off to Suva for defending well.#“We are happy that we got a point which will keep our chance alive to play in the Champions League, added Reddy.#The Babasiga Lions after the match remain on third spot on the points table. They now have 16 points after 10 matches while Suva is fifth with 14 points after playing 8 matches.#Meanwhile Ba and Lautoka played to a 3-3 draw on Friday night at Govind Park in Ba. Ba’s Mavaliko Nakama and Lautoka’s Peni Finau scored double while Ba’s Malakai Rakula and Lautoka’s Ratu Josevata Dugucagi scored a goal each in the match.#
