Rewa 1-0 Tailevu Naitasiri

The Marika Rodu coached side started the match bombarding the Tailevu Naitasiri defense and in the 15th minute a hand ball by defender Joseph Elder gave away a penalty to the reds.
Rewa midfielder Amani Makoe stood up to take the spot kick and without any mistake scored the lone goal.
Rewa coach Marika said he was happy with his player’s performance despite a step down from the Vodafone Fiji FACT.
“The boys performance was a step down compared to how we performed during Fiji FACT but that is to be expected especially coming back from the break. However, these three points is crucial and we plan on playing better and getting more points.
“We have a few areas to touch up on but overall the boys did well, “said Rodu.
Tailevu Naitasiri coach Tagi Vonolagi praised his players for playing their heart out against the star studded side.
“I am very proud of the boys, they had the fighting spirit and really gave Rewa a hard time.
“We need to work on our finishing but other than that I am proud of the boys.
“We have our next game against Ba which will be a hard one and I am disappointed at the fact we are given two matches to play over the weekend but we will try our best.”
Rewa now has 14 points after playing 10 games while Tailevu Naitasiri on bottom of the points table with one point and played 8 games.
Tailevu Naitasiri will play Ba in their second match on Sunday at Govind Park in Ba at 3pm.
