Tour preparations all set

The Suva and Nadi players have joined camp after arriving from New Zealand playing in the OFC Champions League.#The Brazil tour will be from April 25 to May 7 where they will play four matches.#Coach Frank Farina said they are set to play four quality matches against some top clubs of Brazil.#“We are looking at playing four matches there and we know all teams in Brazil are very strong.#“Football is religion in Brazil and playing any team will be like playing their national team,” Farina said.#“This trip to Brazil is something that we really need because our target is obviously the Rio Olympics.#“The boys will get more exposure because they have learnt a lot from their Spain tour. Countries like Spain and Brazil are where people live and breathe football,” Farina said.#Farina said the boys were looking forward to the tour and eager to learn more from the Brazilians.#“We are playing two matches against professional clubs, three from Series A and one from Series B.”#Farina said they will play two matches against Atletico Paranaense which qualified for Copa Libertadores last year.#“We will play Club Figueirense (Series A Club) which has three players from the Brazil national U20 team and Clube Parana (Series B Club) which is 2nd in the State competition ahead of all teams above.#The 22 member squad leaves for Brazil this Monday at 9.45 pm from Nadi International Airport.#
