Tavua 1-1 Seaqaqa

The Seaqaqa football side will need to hold Tavua in the second leg of the Vodafone Senior League plays offs to book an automatic promotion to the Premier Division.

This after the two side were drawn 1-1 in the first leg at Garvey Park in Lautoka last Sunday.

The Gold Miners started the second half attacking and pressuring the Seaqaqa defense and in the 60th minute striker Maikeli Sivi was fouled inside the penalty box saw referee John Tapure pointing for a spot kick.

Midfielder Marika Rawasoi stoou up to take the spot and he neatly netted the ball past diving Seaqaqa goalkeeper Osea Navuso to level the score.

The Saroj Kumar side continued to hunt for the winner but lack of finishing cost them the 3 points.

Tavua will play Seaqaqa this Saturday at 3pm at Subrail Park in Labasa in the return leg.
