Singh honoured, presented with legends medal

Former Ba and national midfielder Vimlesh Singh was presented with a legends medal last week at Fiji FA Headquarters in Vatuwaqa.
Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said they were waited for Mr Singh to come back to Fiji and it was proud moment for Fiji FA to honour him.
“His contribution and commitment for football is so much as a player and also a coach and we are proud that we are giving him something back with, “said Patel.
“Vimlesh was one of the intelligent midfielders. Fiji has ever produced in late 70’s because he was smart in every way on the field,”
“He was in the Ba team that did six in a row IDC victory,”
An emotional Singh said he was so proud to be honoured by Patel.
“It is good to know that we are rewarded for our commitment to football and this is something all the players would be looking because that shows we are unforgotten, ”Singh said.
Singh who resided in Auckland, New Zealand and is back in country and was impressed with development of Fiji Football Association.
He is the elder brother of former Ba and national coach Late Billy Singh.
