Fijian Wonder boy Roy Krishna will join the national team on March 20 for the FIFA World Cup stage three qualifiers.
Coach Christophe Gamel says Roy will be here just 4 days before the match against New Zealand.
“I think it will be difficult for him to adopt the way I want to play because he will just train with us for few days,” Gamel said.
He said he knows Roy was a very good player but he has not played with these boys together for a long time now.
“I am sure he will adopt easily but he will have very less time together with the team, “he said.
Gamel said the Rewa players will also be joining the camp four days before which was very difficult for him to get the right combination.
“There are lot difficulties in the preparation as we have the Ba and Rewa players participating in the OFC Champions League.
“The Ba players like Avinesh Waran Swamy is having difficulties in getting leave from work while Malakai Tiwa is injured.”
He said they were also after getting after two overseas based players and were still negotiating with them.
“I am awaiting the response from New Zealand based James Hoyt and Rinal Prasad.”
“They have both played for Ba before and I want to see them if they can fit in my system and if they are available it is good.”
Gamel said he has included some new faces in this camp after watching their performance in the league games.
Suva goalkeeper Emori Raqata, defender Tomasi Uculoa and young striker Sairusi Nalaubu have been incuded in the extended squad.
Rewa players expected to join the camp are Peniame Drova, Amani Makoe, Epeli Saukuru, Joseteki Taumudu and Simione Tamanisau.
Fiji plays New Zealand on March 25 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
