The Vodafone National Football Men’s team will be captained by Dave Radrigai as they prepare for the upcoming Tri-Nations June FIFA International Friendlies in Vanuatu.
This was confirmed by the national head coach Christophe Gamel during the team naming function last Saturday.
Radrigai said he has been shouldered with a big responsibility.
“It’s a big responsibility leading the national team,” he said.
“I would like to thank the head coach for having faith in me and thinking me of this caliber.”
The Lautoka football team midfielder says he is ready to take up the new role.
“It’s the first time for me to be given this role and I will do it with the best of my abilities.
“We have two tough matches ahead of us but our boys will definitely play with pride knowing that we will be flying the Fiji flag.”
Radrigai will be assisted by Simione Tamanisau and Ame Votoniu as vice captains.
