The Fiji Football Association has strengthened its development drive after Petro Oceania renewed its partnership with the association for another three years.
Petro Oceania, operators of the Mobil fuels brand in Fiji, will continue as Fiji FA’s official fuel partner, supporting the association’s coaches and development officers as they deliver football programmes around the country.
Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel thanked Petro Oceania for its continued commitment, saying the partnership had helped the association take football into communities that were previously difficult to reach.
“Without your support, our development officers would not have been able to reach areas which we had not reached before,” Patel said.
“Our development starts from grassroots through the Just Play programme and continues all the way to senior and premier football.
“I thank the management and directors of Petro Oceania for coming on board again to sponsor Fiji FA for another three years.”
Petro Oceania chief executive officer James Marriott said the company was proud to continue its longstanding relationship with Fiji football.
“With this sponsorship, we will be providing Fiji football staff and coaches with the fuel they need to get out into the communities to promote, coach and train all ages and all levels of football,” Marriott said.
“From the grassroots to the international teams, Mobil will be the supplier of choice for those teams and coaches.”
Marriott added that Petro Oceania was proud to support Fiji football as a Fijian-owned business.
“We are delighted to extend the relationship and we wish all the best to the teams in the IDC this week,” he said.
The renewed three-year agreement continues a partnership which has supported Fiji FA’s football development activities across the country for the past three years.
